My parents both have dementia and my father is very frail. I have been looking after them for the past 18 months and frustrated with the lack of interest they have had from the —- Health Centre. Eventually I heard about The English Nuse in Competa, and asked her to visit us. She gave both my parents a thorough check and found they both had urine infections and my father had extremely low blood pressure. This is after he had been taking Ramipril for years for his high blood pressure. I had taken him to the doctors as I was worried about his fainting and falling over frequently but the doctor had not changed anything. My father was also having a lot of trouble with bowel movements, and after a few visits from Liz (including a Sunday morning) to clear him out, she advised me on subtle changes in diet and lifestyle. I cannot recommend Liz enough. She has helped me so much with my own care of my parents, when I wasn’t able to find any help or advice anywhere else. My father is now a lot stronger, no more fainting, and regular bowel movements daily!!! Just knowing Liz is there in a crisis has helped my own stress levels as well as my parents.

jogiles04@yahoo.co.ukThe English Nurse, Liz, has been instrumental in transitioning my mother (93 years old) from hospital to her home environment after a hip replacement operation. She cared for my mother with compassion and respect and made it possible for her to feel comfortable in her own home again. She provided support and information for the family and was a delight to work with.
Punctual, professional and above all – simply a wonderful person. We have no hesitation in recommending her to you.

I had two occasions to use the services of the English Nurse and her team in the last two years. On both occasions I was treated with kindness and professionalism. When an emergency arose there was immediate response from Liz or one of her team. It is a real comfort in situations like this to know that help will be immediate and is just a phone call away.
A program was prepared to meed my needs and budget, meals were prepared, shopping done, help with hospital visits, I was supplied with equipment that was needed and this was delivered to my home which was included in the service. As conditions improved and I needed less help my program was adjusted. I hope you never need the excellent service that the English Nurse and her team provide but if you do, I have no hesitation in recommending and thanking them.

Liz, Anna, Helen, and the whole team who looked after my Dad as he deteriorated very swiftly from a brain tumour were all fantastic, and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. They were professional, friendly, caring, and supported my Mum as she struggled through this awful time. Liz always seemed to make time and despite no doubt many other demands on her time we always felt we were getting brilliant first-hand care and on a couple of occasions she went to extraordinary lengths to fix problems that cropped up. Thank you to all of you. Sorry it’s taken so long for me to write.

We cannot speak highly enough of Nurse Liz.
Liz offered invaluable emotional support during a very stressful period as well as exceptional nursing care for my dad. Liz was proactive and went out of her way to provide both equipment and advice; it was reassuring to be supported by a true professional who was intuitive and extremely knowledgeable.
Liz offered us detailed information about medication, surgery and post operative care as well as practical help dealing with the Spanish system! We are very grateful to have been put in touch with Liz and would have no hesitation recommending her.

b.evans1@lancaster.ac.ukI recently had reason to visit Spain as my sister was in the late stage of being treated at home for terminal cancer. I arrived to find that my brother in law asked Liz to help with my sister’s nursing care. I was immediately impressed by her confidence and the assurance she was able to provide to my sister and the rest of the family. She is an experienced, practical and highly professional nurse who knows what needs to be done and gets on with the job in a no nonsense manner that instills confidence. More importantly, her compassion shines through and it is obvious that she cares deeply for her patients and family members together in a holistic manner which is highly supportive and most impressive.
Sadly, my sister died from her illness and Liz was summoned to help prepare the body. This she did in an exemplary manner and greatly softened the blow to my deeply distressed brother in law. She is also a registered nurse in the Spanish system and was acted as liaison with the certifying doctor.
I am very gratefulto her for the way in which she cared for and supported us all at stressful time and am more than happy to give Nurse Brown an unqualified recommendation.

What a relief – an English RGN in our area!! – at last.
If you are having any health problems contact Elizabeth first, she has taken great care of my wife for the past few weeks, and due to her care and advice my wife has now passed her ITV (MOT).
Seriously – She has been a great help to us, her professional manner and obvious knowledge of her work instils a sense of confidence, that in itself, leaves you in a secure and safe place–I have to say its a bit like visiting an NHS hospital, or should I say -visiting you in your home.
Her prices are excellent so don’t panic, and she also follows up her visits with follow up emails regarding your progress
We will recommend her services to anyone–absolutely.

RE: Rosemary Lewis.
Liz and her Care Team looked after my Mother for over two years after being discharged from hospital in Spain.
My mother had suffered a dense stroke and had lost her speech, was unable to eat, stand and carry out any basic daily necessities on her own.
Liz was able to help Mum with all her daily needs – ablutions, medication feeding and wellbeing.
Liz sourced a special wheelchair for Mum and she was able to resume her usual trips around Nerja and continued with her life despite her disabilities.
Mums care was outstanding and she enjoyed the rest of her life in Spain until she sadly passed away last week.
I am happy for you to see photos of Mum or speak to me regarding her care (Liz can give you my phone number).

Hi Liz,
I didn’t get a chance to email you after Diane passed away but I can now. Thank you for all the care and attention you gave Diane and myself earlier this year. Your professional and friendly approach was greatly appreciated by all our family and made a very stressful time easier to bear.
You were excellent.

I recently travelled to Spain with my wife ,who suffers from Parkinson’s, for a short break and my initial concern was that we were leaving the necessary back up and support services we have in the U.K.
I was therefore delighted to make contact with Liz Brown and her team who offer a home Care Service in the local area.
My wife’s requirements were totally covered by the teams morning start up calls to shower, dress and prepare my wife for the day. The English speaking carers carried out their duties with sensitivity and professional manner whilst providing a relaxed atmosphere whilst carrying out their various tasks.
My wife was delighted with the support and assistance from the team with the knowledge, as was the need in our case to call on the medical skills of Liz, for the solution for a minor illness.
The provision of essential mobile equipment such as a wheel chair and other disability aids made up the complete package.
I would certainly endorse and recommend this organisation to meet the need for professional care support and I would highly recommend the service offered by Liz Brown and her team.
